Election 2016

Wird Zeit, dass wir uns wieder einmal über die Wahlen in den USA unterhalten. ;)

Persönlich sehe ich in Clinton einen weiteren Schritt hin zum absoluten Lobbyismus. Der Einfluss des Volkes geriet dadurch immer mehr in den Hintergrund. Natürlich ist das nicht die Schuld Clintons und liegt eher am System selbst und trifft auf nahezu alle Kandidaten zu, allerdings hat Clinton für mich mit der Verpflichtung von Stephanie Hannon klar Position bezogen.

Eine wirkliche Alternative und für mich als Politologe interessant ist der Kandidat Rand Paul. Er verfolgt zwar einen sehr liberalen, wenn nicht libertären Kurs (für europäische Verhältnisse wahrscheinlich zu krass), setzt sich aber für weniger Lobbyismus und z.B. für einen völlig neue Außenpolitik ein.

Rand Paul? Radikale Außenpolitik ist richtig, ich kann mir auch kaum vorstellen, dass die Republikaner ihn als Kandidat bestimmen werden.

Clinton ist meiner Meinung nach kein Symbol des lobbyismus, eher der dynastischen Ausprägung der US Politik.

Als Gegenkandidaten sehe ich im Moment am ehesten Jed Bush.

Trump ist definitiv unterhaltsam und nicht so ein typischer 0815-Politiker. Auch finde ich nicht alle seine Ideen schlecht. Mir scheint allerdings, dass er kein Konzept hat wie er sie umsetzen möchte.
