REASSIGNMENT OF SECRET SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES
Amendment Bill

An Act to focus federal agencies on their core competences.


Section 1: Reassignment of the Responsibilities of the USSS
Art. 2 des Nation Security Agencies Act wird wie folgt neu gefasst:
Article 2 - The United States Secret Service (USSS)
(1) Der USSS wird von einem Direktor geleitet, der auf Vorschlag des Attorney Generals vom Präsidenten ernannt wird.
(2) Die innere Organisation kann durch Verordnung des Department of Justice detaillierter festgelegt werden.
(3) Der USSS ist verantwortlich für die Bereitstellung von Leibwächtern zum Schutz
a. des Präsidenten und dessen unmittelbare Familie;
b. des Vizepräsidenten und dessen unmittelbare Familie;
c. ehemaliger Präsidenten und deren Ehepartner;
d. gewählter Präsidenten und Vizepräsidenten bis zur Amtsübernahme;
e. der aktuellen Leiter der obersten Bundesbehörden und deren Ehepartner;
f. von ausländischen Staats- und Regierungsoberhäupter während ihres Aufenthalts in den USA in offizieller Form.
g. aller vom Präsidenten durch Verordnung dazu berechtigten Personen.


Section 2: Final Provisions
Die bisherige Abteilung "Financial Crimes" wird ins Federal Bureau of Investigations integriert.
