Federal Salaries Bill

Article 1 - Fundamentals
(1) Dieses Gesetz setzt den Lohn für gewählte Volksvertreter, Beamte und Soldaten des Bundes fest.
(2) Für die Durchführung dieses Gesetzes ist das Department of Commerce zuständig.

Article 2 - Salary
(1) Die Bezahlung ist in verschiedene Lohnkategorien unterteilt. Die Kategorien können Anhang 1 entnommen werden.
(2) Alle aufgeführten Löhne stellen den Monatsverdienst dar.
(3) Fällt eine Person in mehere Lohnkategorien, so erhält diese Person nur den jeweils höchsten Lohn.
(4) Wird eine Lohnkategorie durch den Rang beeinflusst, erhält diejenige Person 1% extra auf das Monatsgehalt für jeden Rang über dem Eintrittsrang.

Article 3 - Day of Payment
(1) Sämtliche Bezüge sind bis zum 7. Tag eines Monats für den vergangenen Monat zu bezahlten.
(2) Das Department of Commerce soll eine Gehaltsliste veröffentlichen, aufgeschlüsselt nach Anzahl an Besoldungen in den verschiedenen Lohnkategorien.

Article - Final Provisions
(1) Die Auszahlung der Löhne beginnt mit dem ersten Monat nach dem in Kraft treten dieses Gesetzes.
(2) Änderungen an diesem Gesetz oder seinen Anhängen treten erst mit dem Zusammentreten eines neuen Repräsentantenhauses in Kraft.

A1: President of the United States: 20,000 $
A2: Vice President of the United States: 15,000 $
A3: Secretary: 15,000 $
A4: Deputy Secretary: 8,000 $

United States Congress
B1: President and Vice President of Congress: 16,500 $
B2: Representatives and Senators: 10,000 $
B3: Chairman of a Congressional Committee: 14,000 $

Federal Authorities
C1: Director of a Federal Authority (see Appendix 2): 8,000 $
C2: Deputy Director, Leading Official (see Appendix 3): 7,000 $
C3: Supervisory Special Agent or commissioned Officer of the Armed Forces (amended by rank): 6,000 $
C4: Special Agent, Soldier or noncommissioned Officer of the Armed Forces (amended by rank): 5,000 $
C5: Official, Staffer (amended by rank): 4,500 $

Jurisdiction
D1: Chief Justice of the Supreme Court: 16,500 $
D2: Associate Justice of the Supreme Court: 15,000 $
D3: Federal Judge: 14,000 $
