Ist Ihre Frage damit geklärt? Ansonsten würde ich Ihnen vorschlagen den Act nochmal durchzulesen. Das ist allerdings in meinen Augen ein Zustand den man ausräumen muss, daher auch mein Antrag im Kongress zu dem wir bald sicher diskutieren werden.

Ich halte die Regelung, dass Kongressmitglieder nicht unterstützungsberechtigt sind durchaus für eine sinnvolle Regelung, denn diese können einen Antrag einfach in den Kongress einbringen, wenn sie es für richtig halten.

Dass sie keine eigenen Popular Petitions vorlegen, halte ich ebenfalls für sinnvoll. Aber es sollte ihnen in meinen Augen grundsätzlich möglich sein, die Petitionen anderer zu unterstützen, wenn diese schon auf den Weg gebracht wurden.

Ich finde dass durch diese Regelung schon viel zu viele potentielle Stimmen blockiert werden. Das finde ich nicht richtig, ist aber wohl auch nicht nur meine Meinung. Gegen das selbstständige Einreichen einer popular petition durch ein Kongressmitglied bin ich aber auch.

Ich stimme dem Präsidenten zu: Wenn die Representatives und Senatoren eine Popular Petition gut finden, hält sie niemand auf, den Entwurf direkt im Kongress zur Diskussion zu stellen.

Wenn davon weiterhin kein Gebrauch gemacht wird, dann ist die ganze Szenerie hier unehrlich, denn man muss sich wirklich fragen, ob die vier Kongressmitglieder, die der Petition ihre Unterstützung gegeben haben, den Entwurf überhaupt Gesetz werden lassen möchten.
